We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Electrical Transportation specialist to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models (BIM) for electrical systems within transportation infrastructure projects. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration, compliance, and optimization of electrical designs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive BIM models for electrical systems in transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications
- Coordinate electrical BIM models with civil, mechanical, and structural disciplines to identify and resolve design conflicts and clashes
- Conduct clash detection analysis and generate coordination reports to support efficient project delivery
- Create and manage electrical component libraries, specifications, and technical documentation within the BIM environment
- Generate technical drawings, schedules, and construction documentation from BIM models for construction teams and stakeholders
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements specific to transportation projects
- Collaborate with project teams on design optimization, value engineering, and constructability analysis
- Support project planning, scheduling, and sequencing through BIM-based coordination
- Maintain organized project documentation and version control protocols
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical expertise on electrical systems integration
**Required Skills and Experience:**
- Proficiency in BIM software platforms such as Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent modeling tools
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and design principles in transportation infrastructure
- Solid understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination and clash detection
- Demonstrated ability to create technical drawings and comprehensive project documentation
- Experience with project coordination and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in clash detection and coordination software tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
**Preferred Skills and Experience:**
- Experience with 4D/5D BIM modeling and advanced visualization techniques
- Background in transportation-specific electrical systems (rail, metro, EV charging infrastructure, or similar)
- Familiarity with project management software and tools
- Previous experience on large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects
- Knowledge of BIM standards and protocols (ISO 19650 or similar)
- Experience with quantity takeoff and cost estimation from BIM models
- Strong communication and presentation skills
