We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Coordinator specializing in mechanical systems to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
- Develop and maintain BIM models for mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit and other relevant software
- Perform clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve conflicts in the BIM model
- Create and manage BIM execution plans, ensuring adherence to project standards and deadlines
- Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure accurate and efficient BIM implementation
- Conduct quality control checks on BIM models to maintain data integrity and accuracy
- Generate reports, schedules, and quantity take-offs from BIM models
- Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM software and best practices
- Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and industry trends to improve workflow efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably with a focus on mechanical systems
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit and Navisworks
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and HVAC design principles
- Excellent 3D modeling and visualization skills
- Experience with clash detection and coordination processes
- Familiarity with building codes and industry standards related to MEP systems
- Proven ability to work on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and industry best practices
