About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Resident Engineer to join our infrastructure development team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will support the Resident Engineer in overseeing construction projects, ensuring quality control, and maintaining project timelines and budgets.

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of infrastructure construction projects
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project progress
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and technical submissions
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions
  • Assist in the preparation of change orders and contract modifications as needed
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure quality control and adherence to project standards
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to effective communication among team members

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with a focus on site supervision and quality control
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations in Dubai. 
  • Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent technical report writing skills
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work on-site in various weather conditions
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE is a plus
  • Strong managerial skill with ability to manage teams.
