Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Design Project Manager to support the execution of design projects in Amman. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating project activities, liaising with clients and consultants, and ensuring the design process runs smoothly from concept to completion.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in design, architecture, or project coordination who is looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior project managers in overseeing all phases of the design process for projects based in Amman and/or the MENA region.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to align project goals.
- Assist in preparing and updating project schedules, design documentation, and presentations.
- Monitor project progress and support risk and issue resolution to keep projects on track.
- Participate in design reviews and site meetings, documenting action items and decisions.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Help manage project budgets and resource allocations under the guidance of the senior manager.
- Maintain organized records, including drawings, specifications, change orders, and approvals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in design coordination or project management (experience in Amman or MENA region is a plus).
- Proficiency in design and project management tools.
Preferred:
- Experience with design projects in the commercial, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use sectors
- Knowledge of sustainability and green building standards (LEED, EDGE, etc.)
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus but not required
Technical Skills:
- Scheduling and milestone tracking
- Budget monitoring and reporting
- Quality control and design compliance
- Software: AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, excel.
Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
- Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally
