The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.
We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and we are looking for an Asset Inspections Logistics Coordinator
Main Duties:
· Assist in scheduling and coordinating asset inspections, ensuring optimal routing and resource allocation
· Liaise with internal teams (e.g. asset management team, traffic management team, maintenance team, operations team) and external contractors/suppliers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
· Assist with booking road space, arranging traffic management, booking site access equipment e.g. MEWPS and plant and site access for inspection teams.
Data Management and Administration:
· Maintain accurate records of inspection schedules, and personnel movements using our programme · Support the Asset Inspection Logistics Manager in managing and updating the asset inspection database and associated systems. · Assist with the collection, organisation, and preliminary analysis of logistics data to identify efficiencies. · Prepare and process necessary documentation, permits, and reports related to inspection logistics · Assist with the drafting and administration regarding subcontractor indents and requisitions.
Resource Management Support: · Help track the availability and calibration status of our inspections · Support the Asset Inspection Logistics Manager in tracking budget spend related to logistics activities. Compliance and Safety: · Contribute to ensuring all logistics activities comply with health and safety regulations, company policies, and relevant industry standards (e.g. COSHH, working at height, driving regulations). · Assist in documenting and reporting any logistical issues or near misses, e.g. HIPO
Communication & Stakeholder Liaison: · Act as a point of contact for routine logistical queries from inspection teams subcontractors and internal stakeholders. · Assist with communications with stakeholders regarding off network inspections with local authority/TFL and other areas
· Communicate effectively with various internal departments to ensure alignment on inspection plans and resource needs. Process Improvement: · Identify opportunities for process improvements within inspection logistics and suggest solutions. · Support the planning and execution of lean practices to maximise our inspection potential
Experience in a logistics, coordination, or administrative support role, ideally within an operational or technical environment.
· Experience working in an office environment organising works, shifts or rotas.
· Competent in using with basic office software (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel).
· Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
· Business and administration NVQ
· APM Project Management qualification
