As an Architectural Assistant, you will be a valued member of a project team, supporting the development of architectural projects from design through delivery. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply university learning in a real-world environment, contribute fresh ideas, and gain hands-on experience across multiple project stages.
You’ll work closely with Principals, Directors, Managers, and experienced architects, contributing to production, design development, research, and coordination.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project & Design Support
- Produce architectural drawings in line with company standards and project deadlines
- Assist with design research, reports, and presentation materials
- Support the creation of physical and digital models as required by projects
- Contribute design input, problem-solving, and production support to project leaders
- Participate in studies, design workshops, and coordination meetings
Professional Development
- Gain exposure to contracts, programmes, and project management processes
- Record experience toward professional qualification (e.g. PEDR quarterly logs)
- Continuously develop your architectural understanding and professional portfolio
Team Collaboration
- Work as a proactive, reliable, and flexible team member
- Manage your time effectively while meeting tight deadlines
- Bring enthusiasm, initiative, and a collaborative mindset to the studio environment
Skills & Education
- Strong design ability and passion for the built environment
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3ds Max, SketchUp, and InDesign
- Excellent written and spoken English
Experience
- Previous professional or placement experience is beneficial
- Experience working in a team-based office environment preferred
