Summary:
AOV/MOV Valve Supervisor will develop and coordinate system work windows such as turbine/generator, feed water and other equipment to ensure safe and timely execution of refueling outages at Nuclear Power Plant. The activity includes all aspects of preparation, planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of assigned system windows.
Key Responsibilities:
Outage Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for preparation, planning, execution, and closeout of assigned system windows, focused on Motor-operated valve (MOV) and Air-operated valve (AOV) maintenance. While maintaining nuclear safety ensure that outage milestones are met and that stakeholders have a clear understanding of outage activities. Lead the development and implementation of the scheduling process, including resolving schedule conflicts with various stakeholder organizations, to ensure affected parties are aware of changes. Strong supervisory experience and good mechanical understanding.
System Windows
- Coordinate the preparation, planning, execution, and closeout of MOV/AOV related system windows. Facilitate meetings with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Radiation Protection and Procurement teams for system window schedule development to ensure stakeholders maintain high situational awareness. Develop and keep a suite of reports and metrics to track all aspects of system window performance and risks.
Risk Management
- Identify, assess and manage outage schedule risks associated with MOV/AOV maintenance. Schedule high risk evolutions as per industry standards and procedures.
Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
- Support outage and emergency response organization to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations. Health and Safety and Security.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in nuclear industry
- Knowledge of nuclear power plant maintenance and planning activities with a focus on MOV/AOV maintenance oversight and execution
