To support the dynamic growth of the Egis Group, we are looking for a Health & Safety Officer to work with the Group Health & Safety team and contribute to the protection of Egis Group personnel worldwide.
The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for actively supporting the establishment and maintenance of a robust safety culture at Egis Group. The position is global in scope and will relate to activities covering all geographical areas of the Group worldwide.
The Health and Safety Officer will report to the Egis Group Health and Safety Manager and will cooperate closely with the Egis Group Health, Safety and Security Team.
In his/her mission, the Health and Safety Officer will :
- Closely cooperate with internal and external stakeholders, including global Health, Safety and Security referents and project teams.
- Monitor health and safety trends and deliver awareness and incident prevention initiatives globally.
- Act as a global leader of Egis’ “Safety Attitude” culture.
Health and Safety Management System :
- Oversee the adequacy and usability of the Egis Group documented Health and Safety framework,
- Contributing to the development and the updates of key procedures.
- Support Group H&S Manager in ensuring the successful implementation of the H&S framework globally.
- Actively participate in and support the tasks related to the maintenance and continual improvement of the Egis Group's ISO 45001 management system certification.
Prevention and incident management :
- Work with projects teams to understand, assess and control risks and challenges related to health and safety.
- Support Group processes for better control of Health and Safety risks.
- Oversee the quality of incident response within the Group, contributing to better incident investigations, root cause analyses and implementation of post-incident corrective actions.
Performance monitoring and compliance :
- Follow-up on health and safety objectives and track key health and safety indicators, proactively reacting to trend deviations.
- Ensure that Egis offices and projects are fully compliant with Egis Group Workplace Health and Safety Core Criteria (including participation in periodic audits and/or site visits).
- Support corporate processes for global Health and Safety reporting and Health, Safety and Security Management Reviews.
Training and awareness
- Pilot mandatory Health and Safety e-learning within the Group.
- Work with the Health and Safety Manager and the Group HSS Team to deliver Health and Safety awareness initiatives, including regular communication, exchange of good practices and lessons learnt.
Business travels may be required as part of the job.
- Higher education with at least bachelor’s degree.
- Relevant Health and Safety certification(s) (i.e. NEBOSH, IOSH or similar).
- Mandatory: Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Health and Safety domain.
- Preferably: On-site operational or industry Health and Safety work experience.
- International work practice will be an advantage.
- Excellent people skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Result-oriented, proactive and problem-solver. Comfortable with project delivery programs.
- Attentive to detail.
- Spoken and written English and French.
