We’re looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering complex brownfield infrastructure projects, including non-standard, multidisciplinary works which will require problem solving skills.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to be a "true engineer". You’ll apply real problem-solving skills, not just rely on modelling to develop practical, creative solutions for complex urban environments. You’ll take ownership of your work, engage with clients, and help shape projects that connect communities.
In this role, you will:
Lead and manage brownfield projects across design and delivery stages
Solve engineering challenges using sound judgement and practical design skills
Produce and review documentation using AutoCAD and 12D, particularly for stormwater and drainage
Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders, confidently managing technical discussions
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, high-quality project outcomes
Deliver non-standard, technically complex projects with a hands-on, proactive approach
A recognised degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
4+ years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally with brownfield or urban infrastructure exposure
Strong AutoCAD and 12D capability, particularly in stormwater and drainage design
Demonstrated ability to independently manage and deliver projects
Practical problem-solving mindset and ability to engineer solutions beyond what software provides
Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and stakeholders
A collaborative and flexible approach, with no requirement for prior local experience
We are open to considering this role on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis. Please let us know of your flexibility requirements.
Egis is committed to creating an inclusive, creative culture that embraces diversity and flexibility. We offer generous parental leave, support flexible work practices and strive to create an environment where employees can connect, collaborate, grow and succeed.
We are expanding in Australia and New Zealand and are excited for you to join our growing team.
