About Us

Egis Road and Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) is an Irish company established in 2005 and is part of Egis Projects Ireland. We manage Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork and the Motorway Traffic Control Centre (MTCC) for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). 

The contract for the OMTTCC project primarily involves the operation, maintenance, and management of critical tunnel and motorway infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability, and sustainability throughout the asset's lifecycle. ERTO serves as the contractor, responsible for delivering comprehensive services including routine and preventive maintenance, asset renewals, and upgrades, in alignment with health, safety, and environmental standards. ERTO plays a key role in coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with ISO-certified management systems, managing risks, optimizing asset performance, and implementing sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of operations. Additionally, ERTO oversees the safety documentation, change control processes, and ensures that all activities align with Transport Infrastructure Ireland’s (TII) goals for efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.

We are located in the Dublin Tunnel Control Building on East Wall Road, Dublin 3. The position’s holder is responsible towards compliance with the three Codes of Ethics, Integrity and Human Resources Management Code, internal rules, all local regulations and Health & Safety rules that apply in for the Egis Road and Tunnel Operation activities.


About the Role

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the costs and contracts associated with infrastructure and maintenance projects. This involves preparing detailed estimates, managing budgets, evaluating contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with NEC Procedures.  You will work closely with the asset management, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure that all financial and contractual aspects of the project are in line with industry best practices and client expectations.

What do we need from you

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in infrastructure, civil engineering, or similar industries.
  • Batchelors (Masters Preferred) Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, public procurement regulations, and cost management systems.
  • Proven experience in cost estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting for large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with asset management principles and lifecycle costing in infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of financial and project management software such as Excel, Project, or similar systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
