- Advise leaders and project teams on hazard identification, risk assessment, and control strategies for engineering projects (large and small) across a variety of industries.
- Support regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions and disciplines.
- Lead and/or participate in audits, inspections, and assurance activities with a focus on sustainability and defensible outcomes
- Provide expert input into H&S planning for new projects, emerging risks, and operational changes
Corporate, Administrative & Strategic Support
- Lead and complete client and contractor H&S prequalification submissions, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency
- Support organizational change through:

- Integration of systems, processes, and expectations
- Maintain safety records, dashboards, compliance trackers, and audit evidence
- Contribute to development and continuous improvement of H&S programs, policies, and procedures
- Prepare clear, professional written communications for leaders, clients, and regulators
Leadership, Influence & Communication
- Influence and coach senior leaders, project managers, and technical professionals to achieve safety outcomes
- Build credibility with experienced engineering and operations leaders who may be resistant to change
- Navigate challenging conversations professionally and constructively
- Translate technical H&S requirements into practical, business‑aligned solutions
Experience & Professional Profile
- 10+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience, preferably in multi-disciplinary or consulting environments
- Proven ability to operate independently and manage competing technical and administrative priorities
- Strong analytical and writing skills; able to produce high-quality documentation suitable for legal, regulatory, and client review
- Comfortable working with senior professionals and influencing without direct authority
Required
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline
- CRSP designation (or equivalent) required
- Strong working knowledge of Western Canadian OHS legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated experience leading formal incident investigations using recognized methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis)
Strongly Preferred
- Experience supporting engineering-led organizations or professional services environments
- Experience supporting organizational change from an H&S perspective
- Additional certifications related to investigation, auditing, or risk management
- Experience with COR audit
This role may not be a fit if you:
