We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer-Geotechnical to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, and overseeing geotechnical aspects of various projects, with a focus on marine and coastal engineering.
- Lead and coordinate geotechnical investigations for marine and coastal projects, ensuring comprehensive data collection and analysis
- Conduct advanced geotechnical assessments, including liquefaction analysis and stability evaluations for breakwaters, seawalls, and revetment slopes
- Design foundations for marine structures, encompassing both shallow and deep foundation systems
- Perform pile drivability analyses to optimize design and assess feasibility
- Develop innovative designs for retaining walls, including sheet piles, secant piles, diaphragm walls, and blockwork walls
- Create and implement ground improvement designs for reclamation and soil stabilization projects
- Plan, interpret, and analyze instrumentation and monitoring data for ground improvement works
- Prepare detailed Geotechnical Interpretative Reports (GIR) and other technical documentation
- Apply relevant design codes such as Eurocodes, BS Codes, and AASHTO in project designs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and implement innovative solutions
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering
- 4-7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on marine and coastal projects
- Proficiency in geotechnical software including PLAXIS 2D, Slope/W, Geo5, LPile, GROUP, Wallap, and GRLWEAP
- Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and their application in marine environments
- Expertise in foundation design, retaining wall systems, and ground improvement techniques
- Experience in conducting and interpreting geotechnical investigations and instrumentation data
- Familiarity with international design codes such as Eurocodes, BS Codes, and AASHTO
- Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Project management experience and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
- Professional engineering license or eligibility for licensure is preferred
