Role:
- As a Project Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the early design stages of conceptual and competition projects that define the creative DNA of the firm. You will contribute directly to the generation and development of architectural ideas, combining strong design intuition with technical understanding and a forward-thinking approach to design innovation. This position is ideal for architects who thrive in a studio environment driven by creativity, collaboration, and advanced digital design thinking.
Design Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and participate in the concept and schematic design phases, shaping project identity through creative exploration and narrative-driven design.
- Use AI-assisted design tools, parametric modeling, and advanced visualization techniques to enhance creative workflows and idea testing.
- Participate in design workshops, charrettes, and competition entries, helping craft compelling visual and conceptual presentations.
- Maintain and champion design quality and innovation across all deliverables.
- Mentor and inspire younger designers, fostering a culture of experimentation, learning, and creative excellence.
Design and Technical Expertise:
- Develop concept and schematic design packages including drawings, models, visualizations, and design reports.
- Translate conceptual ideas into buildable architectural solutions while maintaining design integrity.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (architecture, landscape, interiors, and engineering) to ensure holistic and coordinated outcomes.
- Support material innovation, sustainability integration, and digital fabrication exploration.
- Use BIM, parametric design, and AI-enhanced visualization tools to deliver high-quality and efficient project outcomes.
Communication and Design Culture:
- Communicate design intent clearly through hand sketches, 3D modeling, and visual storytelling.
- Contribute to internal design reviews and research discussions on emerging design technologies and AI applications.
- Engage confidently with clients and collaborators, articulating design ideas with clarity and conviction.
- Contribute to a studio culture that values innovation, curiosity, and creative collaboration.
Department Operations
- Maintain professional code of conduct in line with the company’s ethics.
- Collaborate effectively with other disciplines and external consultants.
- Participate in Knowledge sharing and skills development.
- Develop partial ownership approach to assigned projects under guidance of SA/DM.
- Lead mentoring of younger team members in coordination with HoD directions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- 7+ years of experience, with at least 2 years focused on early-stage design and project leadership.
- Proven ability to develop and communicate conceptual and spatial design ideas at a high level.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and AI-driven tools such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Midjourney, DALL·E, or similar.
- Strong skills in SketchUp, Revit/BIM workflows, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication, design presentation, and team collaboration abilities.
- Prior GCC experience preferred.
